ODMP Vice President Lieutenant W. Scott Humphrey Graduates from
275th Session of the FBI National Academy

Fairfax, VA--The Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP) is proud to announce that ODMP Vice President W. Scott Humphrey graduated earlier this month from the FBI National Academy program in Quantico, Virginia.  The 275th Session of the National Academy consisted of two hundred and fifty-one law enforcement professionals from 47 states, the District of Columbia, 26 international countries, five military organizations and five federal civilian organizations.

Lieutenant Humphrey participated in the ten-week, invitation-only course from January through early March of this year. During the third week of the session, he was one of only five members selected by fellow classmates to serve as a Section Representative.

Lieutenant Humphrey is the second member of ODMP Board of Directors to complete this intensive training which includes coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science.  Lieutenant Steven Weiss was a graduate of the 265th Session of the FBI National Academy.

Lieutenant Humphrey has served with the Virginia Beach Police Department since 1992.  He is part of the Department’s Command Staff and currently serves in the Investigative Division’s Detective Bureau. Lieutenant Humphrey also commands the Department’s Honor Guard Unit.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Saint Leo University and Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a Public Administration Specialization from Liberty University. Last September he was recognized by the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police with their “Outstanding Contribution to Law Enforcement” award.
