End of Watch Report June 2019

Line of Duty Death Report for June 2019 showing a total of 14 LODDs, a 34% decrease from this time last year

In June of 2019, 14 officers died in the line of duty in the United States, making this the deadliest month of the year.  Of those 14 line of duty deaths, five were the result of gunfire, three were the result of an automobile crash, two were the result of heart attacks, two officers were struck by a vehicle, and two officers died as a result of 9/11-related illness.  Although June was the deadliest month of 2019, the year-to-date total of 61 line of duty deaths nationally puts us at 34% below this point last year.

The Officer Down Memorial Page extends our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and agencies who lost a loved one to a line of duty death in June 2019 and we ask that you take a moment to read each of their memorials and remember the fallen.
